Postnatal pilates is a great class specifically designed for new moms! This class focuses on core strength, allowing you to rebuild those muscles after pregnancy. It integrates a lot of pelvic floor exercise – not just kegels! It also allows you to stretch in all the right places. This class can be modified to suit all body types and fitness levels. It helps to create awareness and connection to your body, increasing control over muscles needed for performing every day tasks. Finally, this practice is done in a way that helps you connect to both your mind and body, leaving you feel refreshed after class!
This class is recommended for those who are a minimum of 6 weeks postpartum after a vaginal delivery or 12 weeks postpartum after a cesarean birth.
*Please note each parent is responsible for their own child during the class. Be sure to bring a blanket and any toys they may need during this time.
** It is important that you consult with your health care provider before beginning any new exercise regime. Please make sure you have received the postpartum “all clear” from your physician before signing up for our classes.
